Laura A. Barbin, M.O.T., L.O.T.R. received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) in 1992. She received her Degree of Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 1995. Laura has been a part of the NeuroTherapy Specialists, Inc. Team since 1995. she has been practicing occupational therapy with adults in acute care and rehabilitation settings at two major area hospitals since 1997. Her experience has been enriched by annual continuing education courses including Handwriting Without Tears, Sensory Integration Intensive Internship at OTA in Massachusetts, “How Does Your Engine Run?” The Alert Program for Self-Regulation, and Feeding Therapy.

Laura has been trained in NeuroDevelopmental Treatment Techniques for pediatrics. She is also certified in the Interactive Metronome® (IM) program used to improve attention and motor coordination in both children and adults. Laura and her dog, Bailey, also enjoy bringing out the best in people when engaging her clients in Pet-Assisted Therapy.

She is fluent in Spanish and in her spare time, enjoys teaching Spanish, drawing, photography, and spending time with her family.
